Edukasi Hukum tentang Penghapusan Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga sebagai Upaya Perlindungan Korban di Desa Sri Karang Rejo Kecamatan Lalan Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin

This article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of a community service program in the form of legal education on domestic violence crimes in Sri Karang Rejo Village, Lalan Subdistrict, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The background of this activity is the low level of public understanding regarding the forms of domestic violence and the legal protection mechanisms available for victims. The community service method was carried out through direct legal counseling using a participatory approach, including the delivery of materials and interactive discussions. The results of the activity indicate an increase in participants’ understanding of the concept of domestic violence, victims’ rights, and criminal sanctions for perpetrators as stipulated in Law Number 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence. This activity contributes to strengthening legal awareness among rural communities and encourages the creation of a safer and more just family environment.
