Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Lingkasa (Linguistik dan Bahasa – Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance.

The review process consists of the following stages:

1. Initial Editorial Screening

  • The editorial team checks the submission for:

    • Scope and suitability for the journal

    • Formatting based on journal guidelines

    • Plagiarism check (using Turnitin or other tools)

  • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements will be returned to the author for revision or rejected.

2. Peer Review Assignment

  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two independent reviewers.

  • The review uses a double-blind system, meaning:

    • Authors do not know the reviewers’ identities

    • Reviewers do not know the authors’ identities

3. Review Evaluation

  • Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

    • Originality and contribution to the field

    • Quality and clarity of content

    • Research design and methodology

    • Analysis, discussion, and references

  • Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

    • Accept

    • Minor Revision

    • Major Revision

    • Reject

4. Editorial Decision

  • Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor makes a decision:

    • If revisions are needed, the manuscript is returned to the author for improvement.

    • Authors must submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.

    • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.

5. Final Acceptance and Publication

  • Once the manuscript is accepted, it goes through:

    • Copyediting and proofreading by the editorial team

    • Layout and formatting for final publication

  • Authors will receive final proofs for approval before publication.

6. Review Timeline

  • The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the quality of the submission.
