Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Applied Management & Entrepreneurship (JAME)

The Journal of Applied Management & Entrepreneurship (JAME) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in management, entrepreneurship, and related business disciplines. Authors are encouraged to carefully follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.

 

Types of Manuscripts

JAME accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  1. Original Research Articles
  2. Systematic Literature Reviews
  3. Conceptual Papers
  4. Case Studies

All manuscripts must present original scholarly work that has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

 

Scope of the Journal

The journal publishes research in, but is not limited to:

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread prior to submission.

 

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official JAME Manuscript Template.

General formatting requirements:

  1. Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  2. A4 paper size
  3. Times New Roman, 12 pt
  4. 1.5 line spacing
  5. 2.5 cm margins on all sides
  6. Approximately 6,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures
  7. Consecutive page numbering

 

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

Title

The title should be informative, concise, and not exceed 20 words.

 

Author Information

Include:

  • Full name(s)
  • Affiliation(s)
  • ORCID ID (recommended)
  • Email address of the corresponding author

Academic titles should not be included.

 

Abstract

The abstract should consist of 150–250 words and clearly describe:

  • Purpose
  • Design/Methodology
  • Findings
  • Practical Implications
  • Originality/Value

No citations should appear in the abstract.

 

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords arranged alphabetically.

 

Introduction

The introduction should explain:

  • Research background
  • Research gap
  • Research objectives
  • Contribution of the study

 

Literature Review

Present relevant theories, previous studies, conceptual framework, and hypotheses (if applicable).

 

Research Method

Describe clearly:

  • Research design
  • Population and sample
  • Data collection
  • Variables and measurements
  • Data analysis techniques

The methodology should be sufficiently detailed to enable replication.

 

Results

Present findings objectively using tables or figures where appropriate.

Avoid duplicating information between text and tables.

 

Discussion

Interpret the findings critically by comparing them with previous studies.

Explain theoretical contributions and managerial implications.

 

Conclusion

Summarize the principal findings.

Do not merely repeat the results section.

Include:

  • Research implications
  • Study limitations
  • Suggestions for future research

 

Acknowledgements (Optional)

Recognize funding agencies or contributors who do not meet authorship criteria.

 

References

References must:

  • Follow APA 7th Edition
  • Be managed using Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote
  • Include at least 80% journal articles
  • Primarily consist of literature published within the last 10 years
  • Include DOI whenever available

 

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should:

  • Be numbered consecutively
  • Have clear titles
  • Be cited in the text
  • Be editable (not images whenever possible)
  • Have high resolution

 

Citation Style

JAME adopts the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition citation style.
