Abstract

The historical and cultural tourism potential of the Musi River in Palembang has not been optimal due to the lack of integrated facilities. To address this, a comprehensive design for the development of a tourist hotel, culinary center, and an integrated souvenir center is proposed to improve accessibility and optimize regional tourism. A Neo-Colonial architectural approach was chosen to combine modernity with the area's historical identity. This design is supported by a systematic methodology involving field observations, site literature studies, historical building analysis, and comparative studies of colonial designs. The project is strategically located on Jalan Depaten Baru, Pasar Sekanak, with a total site area of 3.3 hectares (2.5 hectares for the hotel, 0.8 hectares for the tourist center) and a building area of 15,759.2 m². This integrated design is expected to become an important reference for the development of Musi River tourism and a significant new attraction.
