Welcome to iLEAD (Indonesian Journal of Education, Assessment, and Development), the official journal of the English Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan), Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang.

iLEAD is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the dissemination of high-quality research in the fields of English language education, linguistics, and applied language studies. It serves as a platform for scholars, educators, and practitioners to share original ideas, empirical findings, and theoretical insights that contribute to the advancement of language teaching and linguistic scholarship.

Published biannually (June and December), iLEAD welcomes original research articles, literature reviews, and scholarly discussions on topics such as English language pedagogy, curriculum development, second language acquisition, discourse studies, sociolinguistics, and more.

About the Journal

iLEAD (Indonesian Journal of Education, Assessment, and Development) is an academic journal published by the English Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan), Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Established as a scholarly platform, iLEAD is dedicated to fostering academic discourse, disseminating research, and promoting professional development in the fields of English language education, linguistics, and applied language studies.

The journal is published biannually, in June and December, and welcomes submissions from scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners both in Indonesia and globally. The scope of the journal encompasses a wide range of topics, including English language teaching and learning, second language acquisition, curriculum design, teaching methodologies, classroom-based research, discourse analysis, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, corpus linguistics, and related areas in applied linguistics.

iLEAD aims to contribute to the ongoing development of English language teaching practices by offering evidence-based insights and theoretical perspectives that inform policy, practice, and pedagogy. The journal is particularly interested in research that addresses local challenges in language education while maintaining relevance to broader international audiences.

In maintaining high academic standards, iLEAD employs a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that each manuscript undergoes a fair and constructive evaluation by qualified reviewers in the relevant field.
