Post-Publication Discussion Policy
'ASABIYAH: Jurnal Pengabdian Hukum encourages robust academic discourse and continuous critical engagement with published legal outreach and community service research. The journal recognizes that scientific discourse does not terminate upon article publication, and it maintains transparent mechanisms for post-publication discussions, reader feedback, formal inquiries, and corrections to uphold the integrity and accuracy of the permanent academic record.
Readers, researchers, legal practitioners, and community advocates are invited to submit formal post-publication comments, letters to the editor, or critiques regarding articles published in the journal. Submissions must focus strictly on the legal analysis, methodology, empirical findings, or ethical conduct reported in the original paper. All post-publication communications must maintain a professional and constructive academic tone, and any personal attacks or unsubstantiated allegations will be rejected.
Upon receiving a formal post-publication commentary, the Editor-in-Chief evaluates the submission for relevance and academic merit. If the critique is deemed valid, it is shared with the original authors to provide them with an opportunity to submit a formal response. Both the commentary and the authors' response may undergo independent peer review before being published jointly in a subsequent issue of the journal, explicitly linked to the original article to foster transparent scholarly dialogue.
When post-publication discussions or inquiries reveal errors, omissions, or ethical concerns in a published article, the journal takes prompt action in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Minor factual, mathematical, or typographical errors that do not invalidate the overall findings will be addressed through a formal Correction Notice, published as a Corrigendum if initiated by the authors or as an Erratum if caused by a publisher error.
In cases where post-publication scrutiny uncovers severe errors, data fabrication, plagiarism, or fundamental ethical breaches that compromise the validity of the work, the Editor-in-Chief will initiate a formal investigation following COPE flowcharts. If misconduct or critical scientific invalidity is confirmed, the journal will issue a formal Retraction Notice detailing the reasons for retraction, and the original published PDF will be watermarked accordingly while remaining accessible in the digital archive to preserve the historical publishing record.
