Focus and Scope

Didaktika Biologi: Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan Biologi (Didaktika Biologi as a short name; Biology Didactics, in english) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original research articles in the field of Biology Education. The journal provides a platform for teachers, lecturers, students, researchers, and educational practitioners to disseminate research findings and contribute to the advancement of biology teaching and learning.

Published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang and managed by the Biology Education Study Program, Didaktika Biologi is published twice a year, in March and September, with seven articles in each issue.

Focus

Didaktika Biologi focuses on empirical and developmental research that contributes to the improvement of biology education, particularly in the areas of biology teaching, learning, assessment, and educational innovation.

Scope

The journal welcomes original research articles covering, but not limited to, the following topics:

01. Biology Learners and Educators

Motivation, perceptions, attitudes, competencies, characteristics, and learning profiles of students and educators in biology education.

02. Learning Resources and Media

Development, innovation, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials, learning resources, and educational media for biology learning.

03. Biology Learning Design and Strategies

Instructional models, approaches, methods, strategies, and lesson planning in biology education.

04. Biology Teaching and Learning Practices

Implementation and evaluation of biology learning in educational settings, including classroom action research and quasi-experimental studies.

05. Assessment and Evaluation in Biology Education

Development and application of assessment instruments, learning evaluation, and measurement of students' knowledge, skills, and competencies.

06. Professional Development and Reflective Practices

Lesson study, teacher professional development, and collaborative practices for improving biology teaching and learning.
